The Game Awards 2024 telah berakhir untuk tahun ini. Game Astro Bot dinobatkan sebagai game terbaik Tahun 2024.
Game PlayStation tersebut mengalahkan judul-judul besar lainnya, yaitu Balatro, Black Myth: Wukong, Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, dan Metaphor: Refantazio.
Hasil pemungutan suara diumumkan pada 12 Desember 2024. Orang-orang bisa menyaksikan tayangan ulangnya secara online melalui kanal YouTube The Game Awards. Selain menyandang titel game terbaik, Astro Bot turut menyabet gelar Best Game Direction, Best Action/Adventure Game, dan Best Family Game. Astro Bot menjadi game dengan penghargaan terbanyak di acara The Game Awards.
Untuk saingannya ada Metaphor: ReFantazio dan Balatro, yang mana sama-sama meraih tiga gelar. Metaphor: ReFantazio unggul sebagai Best Narrative, Best Art Direction, dan Best RPG. Sementara Balatro memenangkan Best Indipendent Game, Best Debut Indie Game, Best Mobile Game
Astro Bot memang punya kualitas jempolan. Banyak gamer yang memuji gameplay yang ditawarkan pengembang. Apabila mengacu pada ulasan gamer di Metacritic, skornya sangat tinggi mencapai 94 poin.
Jika penasaran dengan game ini, gamer hanya bisa memainkannya di PS5. Lalu setidaknya harus menyiapkan uang senilai Rp 879 ribu untuk bisa memilikinya.
